Hi, I'm KaLyn.

Yes, the "L" is capitalized.

I'm from Petoskey, Michigan — a beautiful small town in Northern Michigan. 

I have a B.S. in Advertising Management with a specialization in Public Relations. 
That sentence was easy to type, but it wasn't so easy getting there — find out why below. 

I began my college career at North Central Michigan College pursuing an Associate of Science degree in hopes to practice Physical Therapy. I learned I wouldn't thrive in the medical field, and switched my career path to business.
After I graduated from NCMC, I studied marketing and communications at Central Michigan University for one year. I found myself feeling stuck most of the time, and knew I needed to continue my education where I would see endless opportunities.

I applied to Michigan State University at the College of Communication Arts and Sciences and began classes the following August.
The last two years of completing my Bachelor's degree were anything but easy, but they were WORTH it. I earned a B.S. in Advertising Management with a specialization in Public Relations and will always be indebted to the endless opportunities I had at MSU.

What am I passionate about?

  • I love dogs. I have a black lab, Melli Rose, pictured above, who is my pride and joy.

  • I want to build, own, and operate an animal rescue.

  • I'd love to start a podcast — content is still in the works.

  • I enjoy reading, writing, and editing (my favorite part about writing is making edits).
